Request prayer online

Here are some of the common prayers among Catholics and other Christian faiths. It would not be reasonable for me to advise when these prayers ought to be used, that is up to whomever is praying. I hope you can find these prayers helpful in your daily life with Christ and God the Father Almighty in union with the Holy Spirit.

Our Father

Our Father, who art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy Name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread and forgive our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary

Hail Mary, full of grace, The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Apostles' Creed

As Presented in The Catechism
of the Catholic Church

I believe in God
the Father Almighty,
creator of Heaven and Earth.
And in Jesus Christ,
His only son our Lord.
He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit
and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended to the dead.
On the third day He rose again.
He ascended into Heaven
and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again
to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.
Alternate version

the communion of saints, the forgiveness
of sins, the resurrection of the body, and
life everlasting. Amen

Come, Holy Spirit

Come, Holy Spirit fill the hearts of Your faithful and enkindle in them the fire of Your divine love. Send forth Your spirit and they shall be created and You shall renew the face of Earth. Amen.

Another Prayer to the Holy Spirit

O Holy Spirit, soul of my soul, I adore You. Enlighten, guide strengthen and console me. Tell me what I ought to do and command me to do it. I promise to be submissive in everything you ask of me, and accept all that you permit to happen to me. Only show me what is Your will and give me the will to do it. Amen.

Glory Be

Glory be to the Father, to the Son and to the Holy Spirit; As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

Prayer to St. Michael

Holy Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do you, O Prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God cast into hell Satan and all evil spirits who wander the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

Prayer to Your Guardian Angel

Angel of God, my guardian dear. To whom God’s love commits me here. Ever this day, be at my side. To light and guard, rule and guide. Amen

An Act of Contrition

Notes: An act of contrition is a prayer said following the Catholic Sacrament of Reconciliation. Some Priests request that it be said in their presence while still in the confessional otherwise it may be said privately following the sacrament as the first act of penance. Below is one example, there are many more forms out there and the most effective come from the heart.
O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended You, and I detest all my sins because I dread the loss of heaven and the pains of hell, but most of all because they offend You, my God, who art all-good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with help of Your grace, to sin no more and avoid the near occasion of sin.
Authority Prayer
"In the 1980's, this Authority Prayer was given by Jesus word for word to a woman mystic in Canada. For the times in which we are living, for the battle that is ongoing, Jesus exhorted that we all pray it daily, even twice a day if you are in unusual warfare.

In the name of Jesus, I take authority and I bind all the powers and forces in the air, in the ground, in the water, in the underground, in the netherworld, in nature, and in fire.

You are the Lord over the entire universe, and I give You the glory for Your creation. In Your name I bind all demonic forces that have come against us and our families, and I seal all of us in the protection of Your Precious Blood that was shed for us on the cross....

Michael and our guardian angels, come and defend us and our families in battle against all the evil ones that roam the earth.

In the name of Jesus, I bind and command all the powers and forces of evil to depart right now away from us, our homes and our lands. And I thank you, Lord Jesus, for You are a faithful and compassionate God. Amen.
